April 21, 2026 (Iqaluit, Nunavut) Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. (NTI) Chief Returning Officer, Joe Adla Kunuk, announced that NTI’s nomination period for the by-election for President closed at 5 p.m. today local time.
The following candidates submitted papers in accordance with NTI’s Election Rules and Procedures for the Election of President. Below is the unofficial list of candidates:

Candidates have until Friday, April 24, at 5 p.m. local time to withdraw their papers.
Voters have five ways to vote in NTI’s by-election for President: Advance Polls on Wednesday May 20, 2026, Election Day on May 27, 2026, by mobile poll, proxy vote or mail-in ballot.
