5 Ways to Vote

Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. will hold an election for President on Monday, December 9, 2024.

Inuit who are 16 years or older on December 9, 2024, enrolled under the Nunavut Agreement are eligible to vote.

There are 5 different ways to vote

1. Advance Polls
On December 2, 202410 a.m. – 7 p.m. local time, polling stations will be set up in all Nunavut communities, with southern polling stations yet to be determined.

2. Election Day
On December 9, 2024,10 a.m. – 7 p.m. local time, polling stations will be set up in all Nunavut communities, with southern polling stations yet to be determined.

3. Mobile Polls
From December 3-6, 2024, mobile polling stations are available in all Nunavut communities. Contact your local community liaison officer to arrange a date and time.

4. Proxy Vote
Inuit who are not able to go to the polling station and would like another Nunavut Inuk to vote at a polling station on their behalf, can vote by proxy during Advance Polls or on Election Day. Proxy forms must be taken by the assigned voter to the polling station on either Advance Polls or Election Day.

5. Mail-in Ballot
Inuit can apply to the Chief Returning Officer to receive a Mail-in Ballot and a prepaid return envelope. Ballots must be returned and received no later than December 9, 2024
